The guide map of Espoo and Kauniainen is a dataset with a fairly generalised position accuracy, which is made to give a wide overview of the entire cities and to guide people to a specific address. The optimum operating scale is 1:20,000. The guide map has been stripped of details, emphasising the importance of the street network, names and addresses. The width of a street depicted on the map does not match the real width of the street. The map covers the areas of both Espoo and Kauniainen. A colour guide map is available through the API.
By a more detailed level, Karttayhdistelmä-level contains first the guide map, then the agency map and the parent map. The deeper levels of the map combination do not include the Kauniainen area.
Tilastotausta-level is a background map based on Opaskartta-level, which is simplified.
NOTE: The dataset can be opened for example with QGIS program, but not with MapInfo.
