Historical guide maps of the City of Helsinki

Historical guide maps of Helsinki from 1940, 1952, 1962 and 1999.

The guide maps include the following Information: place names, streets, roads and railway connections, public buildings, residential areas, industrial areas, forest and field areas and municipal boundaries. In addition, the maps show some attractions and public services.

Guide maps for 1940, 1952, 1963, and 1999 are available for download as TIFF image files. Guide maps for all years are available through the WMS API.

Guide map of the City of Helsinki from 1940. Published by Frenckellin Kirjapaino Oy. The map was made for the planned 1940 Olympics. Tram and bus lines. Competition and training locations. On the back is a list of streets, attractions and foreign diplomatic missions in five languages. Four-colour print, size 58 cm x 61 cm, printed by Frenckell.
