From the dataset abstract

The data includes the utilization rate of eight devices in the Hietaniemi, Helsinki outdoor gym from the spring of 2020 (24th of April). A few other outdoor gyms are also being measured, but for these, there are so many problems with the quality of the data that it is not yet published.

The utilization rate of the devices is measured with separate motion sensors once a minute. The data is transferred in almost real time to the service provider's system, from where it is retrieved a few times an hour to the cache. From cache, data is aggregated into 10-minute intervals into CSV files:

• Hietaniemi-all.csv contains all data (except current day's data)
• Hietaniemi-last-day.csv contains current day's data

The data is produced in an experiment of Culture and leisure division of the City of Helsinki.
